More awards for The nile hilton incident

SUCCESS. Tarik Saleh’s new film, The Nile Hilton Incident, was awarded the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic at the Sundance Film Festival on January 28, 2017, followed by very positive reviews from leading film magazines. The film has received raving reviews from international critics and moviegoers alike – and has become a box office hit in France with more than 400.000 admissions.

At the 2018 Guldbagge (Swedish Academy Award), The Nile Hilton Incident was rewarded no more than five times – for Best film, Best Male Actor, Best Set Design, Best Sound and Best Costume.  

The story. Cairo 2011, just weeks before the revolution. Police Detective Noredin, working in the in-famous Kasr el-Nil Police Station, is handed the case of a murdered singer. He soon realizes that the investigation concerns the very power elite, close to the President’s inner circle.
